Here are very effective and simple ways to exfoliate lips at home.
Honey with oats
Honey has very good anti-inflammatory properties, supports the recovery of open wounds caused by chapped lips, so it is often included in the home skin and lip care formula of women. Oatmeal is also a gentle and very effective exfoliator.
How to do it: Mix ½ teaspoon of honey with 1 teaspoon of oatmeal into a mixture, then apply it on your lips and massage, relax for 2-3 minutes. Then use a cotton pad soaked in water to dry.
Honey has the effect of softening and soothing the skin, has anti-inflammatory and natural antiseptic properties. Lemon contains acids that exfoliate the lips and clean the lips, and the white sugar particles will help remove excess and flaky skin.
Method: Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of sugar into a homogeneous mixture. Apply the mixture evenly on your lips and massage your lips for 5 minutes, then rinse your lips with clean water.
Olive oil

How to do: Mix 1 teaspoon of sugar with a few drops of olive oil, then apply the mixture on your lips and gently massage for 30 seconds. Then rinse with warm water and apply a little olive oil to nourish the lips.
Baking soda with honey
Baking soda is an extremely effective ingredient in disinfecting and removing dead cells. And honey helps to moisturize and even out the color of the lips.
Method: Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of honey into a homogeneous mixture. After cleaning your lips with water and drying your lips, apply the mixture on your lips and leave it on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse lips with warm water and apply lip balm to soften lips.
Roses and fresh milk
Fresh milk contains lactic acid, which gently exfoliates the lips and has the ability to lock in moisture. The mixture of rose petals and fresh milk will be a safe and gentle exfoliating formula for lips.
Method: Take some finely ground or crushed rose petals and mix with 1-2 tablespoons of unsweetened fresh milk. Apply the mixture evenly on the lips and massage gently for 30 seconds and rinse with warm water, then use lip balm.
Note:
- Need to gently massage the lips to avoid scratching and hurting the lip area.
- The frequency of lip exfoliation should be done 2-3 times per week, should not be overused, it will be counterproductive and may cause damage to the lips.
If your lips are dry, you need to moisturize and hydrate your lips before exfoliating.
